Go for the Chicken Seekh Kebabs !
Rating – 3.5/5
Much like the movie Dulhe raja of Govinda fame, this is a fairly modest place opposite the giant five stars Hyatt and Novotel just across the Nagar Road.
However it is holding on its own for a while and for a good reason – the kebabs, especially the seekh kebabs are fairly juicy and tender and better than most of the higher end restaurants of Pune 🙂 At 80 bucks a plate for two mutton kebabs and 50 bucks for a plate of two chicken kebabs, it’s a downright bargain – 4.5/5
Tandoori chicken is alright, they basically provide tandoori legs which have the basic marination and tandoori masaala but nothing extraordinary about it. 3.5/5
However what really left me reeling was the awkward taste of the mutton Dum Biryani, it tasted like bloody Dal chawal when I had my first bite. It’s the worst Biryani I have had in a long time, even blue nile’s Biryani tastes divine in comparison – 0/5
At most of the times this would serve as a parcel place, parking for four wheelers could be an issue and if you’re really concerned about hygiene this place may not top your wish list.
They have enhanced their menu a bit and are offering now some gravy dishes as well, would try them in the next visit.
I was set back by the Biryani debacle but the other dishes are fairly alright, I would go back for sure a little later.
